Continuing our fly fishing explorations throughout this stunning tropical paradise, we have a limited number of opportunities for anglers to join us on Anna, French Polynesia in 2016.
Through investment and research into the fisheries biology and dynamics of the local bonefish population, Fly Odyssey clients will have the opportunity to participate and contribute towards these field studies and data collection with us, and our University of Hawaii research team.
With strong local support and enthusiasm for the project, the work to date has highlighted the huge potential in sustainably developing a community led fly fishing business to help support the people of Anaa, who predominantly reply on Copra as a source of income.

Anaa Atoll, located 350 Kilometres east of Tahiti is a dot in the Pacific, located in the Tuamotu Archipelago in French Polynesia. Stunningly beautiful and home to less than 500 locals, the turquoise green Atoll is 6.5km’s wide by 29.5km’s long with a fringing reef encompassing a huge lagoon, expansive sand flats and coral bommies.
With a multitude of passes out to sea along its entire length it offers a range of fly-fishing options including good sized Bonefish, Blue Trevally, Giant Trevally and Triggerfish inside the lagoon with Big Bohar Snapper, Black GT’s and Napolean Wrasse available off the reef edges. Bluewater options are endless and yet to be explored.
