Thanks once again for organising a very memorable trip which coincided with full moon/spring tide.
We learnt that 3 days after the new moon, the bonefish spawns at Paris Flat in huge shoals. We did not have difficulties spotting them this time. At times, it was just too easy and we never thought we would feel that when bonefishing!
The GT fishery is very good, the Geets are spooky and not as easy as we envisaged. Stakeout at Huff Dam and in the middle of the channel gave us ample opportunities as well as frustrations aplenty!
Given the low season, we had 2 boats (4 anglers) fishing the lagoon all week. We had a fantastic time both inshore and offshore fishing as well as at the Korean Wreck oceanside flat, which is worth the 2 hour truck ride.
We caught close to 30 different fish species on both fly rod, popping and jigging.
Overall, an excellent fishery, the Villages Motel is superbly located as we step onto the boat right in front of the lodge and the staff and guides are knowledgeable and fantastic. We look forward to that day when we return!
