We have just completed 2 weeks of hosted weeks in Southland and the central south island. The trout fishing in new Zealand this year has lived up to expectations despite some poor weather with a deep low depression causing some wind and rain at times. This helped to fresh up many of the rivers. Guides Ian Cole and Steve Carey did a great job looking after our clients and each of them will be returning to the UK having landed trout over the 6 lb mark (personal bests for everyone) and some considerably larger.
The remainder of 2015 season looks excellent. Many larger fish are being landed in the north of the South island due to the current mouse plauge. There are still some opportunities to get down to New Zealand to target these fish.
Here is a selection of images from the 2 weeks.
