Lower Mill is a beautiful piece of fishing on the Upper Test with crystal clear water providing perfect sight fishing for trout on dry flies or nymphing late in the season.
The beat is extremely private in the well managed grounds of a Mill House. Access is from 9.30 with fishing allowed until dusk. Most of the beat is best fished by wading but there is bank fishing too on both sides of the river. There are also two small carriers with fabulous stalking for wild browns or wandering stockies enjoying the shade. The beat is stocked with beautifully conditioned brown trout.
The Rod room is fully equipped with cutlery/china/glasses/kettle/fridge/tea and coffee and there are various picnic spots around the beat or there are two local pubs in the village only 5 minutes drive from the beat.
Two anglers may fish and the season rod has ten days to choose from spread throughout the season with one mayfly date and no weed cutting dates.
